Editor's LetterDear Saints, We greet you in the wonderful name of our Lord Jesus! As promised the series, "Examine Yourselves," continues in this issue with part 6. I believe that many think of salvation basicaly as a "vertical" issue, one between them and God alone. But that is not the picture painted in the Bible. There we see that being born of God’s Spirit brings us into a family relationship with every other true believer. You cannot have one without the other. I hope you will prayerfully read and consider. Since this article deals in part with Cain and Abel it seemed appropriate to include a reprint of an article Bro. Thomas wrote many years ago under that title. I believe it sets forth much needed truth with great clarity. We continue to see the Lord at work in our midst and are very grateful. Just this morning there was a strong Spirit of conviction and drawing. I’m so thankful that He is still dealing with hearts. There will come a time when that day will be over. God’s Spirit will not always strive with man. Gen. 6:3. It will be as it was in the days of Noah when Christ returns. A relative few will have heeded the call and will be kept safe. The rest of the world will suffer sudden destruction. Luke 17:26-30. I Thessalonians 5:2-5. Even now it is easy to see the effects of the last day loosing of Satan reflected in the lives of people. Strongholds of sin and bondage are greater than ever. Only Christ can break such power and only those who fully surrender to Him will be set free. It is a sober time and all who see what is happening in the spirit need to join their hearts in prayer for those Christ will yet reach—while there is time. As I write this we are in great anticipation of the Lord’s blessing and presence in our June Convention in Jacksonville, Florida, June 22-25. People from a number of states will be gathering. It is a wonderful opportunity for the Lord to work in our hearts. Please hold up this meeting to the Lord in prayer and join us if you can. And now, until the next issue may God richly bless you...
