Editor's LetterBeloved: Not having anything in mind to pray for or about is no excuse not to pray. Romans 8:26-27 says, "Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God." Sometimes we pray things in the Spirit that we couldn't and wouldn't pray for in ourselves. One time I went out into the woods to pray and couldn't think of a single thing I needed to pray about. The Lord spoke to me and said, "What about those trials that lie ahead of you when you will be severely tried?" That was the catalyst that gave me a Spirit of prayer and enabled me to have a wonderful season of prayer. In earlier years of our (Christ's) ministry I was always praying for some means of reaching people with the gospel that was far beyond my means at that time. Today, fifty years later, we are reaching every continent on earth with the gospel by the way of radio. I certainly did not, nor could I visualize such a thing 50 years ago. The scripture in Ephesians 3:20 is literally being fulfilled, "Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us." Thank God we have been able to do these things without begging and using tricks to get money to support this. We are also thankful that God has given us a group of people that are faithful and believe in this ministry. Our prayer is that God will reach the little remnant still hungry and thirsty for truth. Let us hear from you as you feel led of the Lord. We covet your prayers for this work. Your unworthy friend,C.
