Editor's LetterBeloved in Christ, This leaves me thanking God for his faithfulness. I was thinking of the scripture, "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." I Cor. 10:13. I want to emphasize that the hope and the help comes from God. The deliverance is from him whether we ask it or not. He is our hope. He is our strength. He is our EVERYTHING. We need to lift our hearts to him unseasonably being positive about all the issues of life in the awareness that in him "we live and move and have our being." Acts 17:28. Paul said in Gal. 2:20, "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me." Please note that it is not our faith but his faith and it is imparted to us when Christ comes into our heart. The fear that we can't measure up or accomplish the things that we wish when we come to the Lord is not justified because it is his faith which is imparted to us upon conversion, and everything we need is sufficient in him. May the Lord bless you folks and let's learn "that we live not by bread alone but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." Matt. 4:4.
