Editor's LetterBeloved in Christ: This leaves us thanking God for his bountiful blessings. God’s blessings are all around us if we have eyes to see and ears that are tuned to the eternal verities. The other day I was thinking about the universe, how large it is and how long it would take to travel at the speed of light, 186,000 miles per second, to the outer limits of the universe (wherever that is). Methuselah lived to be 969 years old and had he started on the day of his birth and traveled until his death, he would not have even begun his journey through the solar system. Our God who made it all sustains it moment by moment and it is in perfect order. And to think we mere humans would doubt Him. God is on time and Jesus will come when that time limit is reached. We need to praise God with every breath for his faithfulness. "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." I Cor. 10:13. I would like to emphasize here that it is God’s faithfulness and not ours. Hallelujah! That is a promise to you and to me and to all of God’s children. Our God keeps tabs on us and we can trust all things into His hands. That makes me rejoice knowing that we can rest in Him. I don’t know how much longer the Lord’s coming will be but He will come and it may be much sooner than we expect. I am sure that God’s children wish He would hasten that day, but I am also sure that it will be perfect in his time. May God bless you all and give you rest as we await that day.
