Editor's LetterDear Brothers and Sisters in the Lord, On behalf of Bro. Thomas and the saints I greet you in the Name of our wonderful Lord Jesus Christ. We are rejoicing in His great faithfulness and goodness to us. Although Bro. Thomas is feeling less than his best at present I know you are all on his heart and in his prayers. I know he would appreciate your remembering him before the throne as he comes to your mind. After all, he’s only 85! We had a wonderful convention in Jacksonville, Florida in June. From the very beginning there was a spirit of joy and anticipation and the Lord did not disappoint us. Certainly there is nothing about us that would merit his attention but, thank God, it’s by grace isn't it! It was a little unusual to have a convention in which Bro. Thomas did not minister but the Lord proved to us afresh what we already know, that it’s not personalities or men but Christ in our midst. We just came together and looked to Him and He reached out and touched lives. We appreciate so much the faithful ministry of Bro. Thomas over the years but he has always taught us to look to God and not men. One of the most unusual services came on Saturday night. It was a sort of a "collage" of various testimonies, exhortations, and other short words. In spite of appearances God was at work. At the end there was an opportunity for people to come and seek the Lord for various needs and the Lord moved in a wonderful way with great conviction and many breakthroughs. As I write this, it has now been some 10 months since the Lord called us in a special way to prayer. I believe with all my heart that we are more and more seeing the fruit of it. How often we have heard Bro. Thomas and others speak of the founding of this work and the great burden of prayer that was present in those days. In some cases they held all-night prayer meetings. God is renewing our sense of the need of prayer and the spiritual tide is steadily rising through His faithfulness. Until next time, may God’s richest blessings be yours.
