Editor's LetterBeloved in Christ, You would be surprised at how many times the scripture refers to what God did from the beginning, for example, 2 Thess. 2:13, "But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath FROM THE BEGINNING chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth." Thank God He didn't wait until we happened to come along to make plans for us. He made plans for us before we were conceived. Jeremiah 1:3 -- "Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations." God, being God, what He plans to do He will fulfill. Thank God! God knows us from the foundation of the world and He'll bring to pass all the things that He foreknew. It's almost hard to wait. It seems like we forget when God's eternal plan is slow in coming, but it will come and none can hinder it. We thank God that we can believe these things and then rest in hope for that glad day when Jesus shall descend from heaven with a shout. The dead in Christ shall rise and the living which remain shall be caught up with them in the air. If it wasn't for God's plan and service there would be no purpose in staying in this old world. But winning one soul to Christ is worth it all. And think about ... We are going to spend eternity with these folks down here!! Our priorities are motivated by our carnal natures and we need to be motivated by the spiritual man. Only then can we bring forth those things that will last. Just pray for us.
