Editor's LetterBeloved in Christ: This letter leaves us feeling that the coming of the Lord and the end of this world system is coming to an end. It's going to come to an end, we know, according to I Cor. 15:51-57, "Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." I was thinking the other day about this world out here in space as well as all of the other celestial bodies that God has made and he holds them in perfect perpetuity. I marvel sometimes when I think about the creation. God made it all and that same God has planned on having a people that he can share eternity with. I was also thinking about how people look at death as the end of things. Actually, if we know the Lord, it is just the beginning. We just leave this world dimension and go into the other one of which there is no end. I am blessed when I think about the loved ones, the friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ that we will meet on the other side. We cannot visualize or imagine what a time of rejoicing that will be. And just think about all of the saints, Bible characters that we have read about, and more importantly, our Lord himself. So actually it will be a time of great rejoicing and eternal bliss. Death is not the end for God's people but just the beginning. Praise God! May God bless you and quicken a few of these thoughts to your hearts and minds. Your unworthy servant, Return to MCM Back Issues |
