Midnight Cry Messenger

Volume XLIII: Number 3 -- July-August-September, 1998

Editor's Letter

Beloved in Christ,

I had completely forgotten to get this editor’s letter up. In fact I thought I had, but the truth is it was another letter. Well, it’s just another sign that I’m getting old.

One thing I’m thankful for is that I don’t represent anybody or any other thing than the Lord. I like to be open and receptive to all, but not servant of any except the Lord. Many preachers are either serving man, themselves or a religious system. That’s a bondage that I don’t want any part of.

Well, we’re hearing much about the storms (Bonnie and Danielle). I can’t help but believe that there is a connection between these things and the coming of Christ.

In the days of Noah there was only one man that had God’s message for that day, and he prepared an ark to the saving of his household. My household is God’s people. My desire is to be in a position to warn them of things not seen as yet. I believe that Christ’s return will be totally unexpected by the world and yet Jesus said, “When ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.” Matt. 24:33-34. Jesus went on to say, “This generation shall not pass, till all these things by fulfilled.” So that is a generation that will be living when Jesus comes.

Thank God we have something to look forward to and we won’t be satisfied until we are on the other side. May God bless you and may I encourage you to look up because redemption draweth nigh.

Your Unworthy Servant,
C. Parker Thomas
