Editor's Letter

Beloved in Christ:

Evidence of Satan and his evil host of demon activity increases by the second. Gangs of drug-crazed youth roam our cities robbing, stealing, killing and being killed.

Moral corruption and lack of respect for commitment in marriages are accepted as normal. Much of the church world looks and acts like the world itself. Religious and world kingdoms are still being built as if the coming of Christ was a myth.

Man's concept for the cure for crime and lawlessness is more laws and more prisons. The fear of God is almost non-existent. This country, headed up by the president, is constantly on the go to various parts of the world seeking and signing peace treaties. I Thess. 5:3.

Peace for this godless world is a delusion. If I read my Bible correctly all of this is a prelude to worldwide destruction and the coming of the Prince of Peace.

The only place of safety is where Christ is in his body. And I do not mean those who claim to be the body of Christ. Perhaps many who read this editor's letter will consider me just another religious fanatic. I remind you Noah was ignored and probably considered a fanatic by the world in his day. Matt. 24:37-39. Heb. 11:7. Peter said, men will be saying, "... Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation." 2 Peter 3:3-4.

If you truly believe what the Bible teaches I highly recommend you read the whole chapter of 2 Peter 3:1-18.

As I sign off once more I remind you, beloved, of what the apostle Paul said in I Thess. 5:4: "But ye, brethren, are not in darkness that that day should overtake you as a thief."

May God help us all to "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour." I Peter 5:8.

I am just writing a short note to you to let you know how much I appreciated the gospel tapes you sent to me a few months back. They were free and I didn't even have to ask for them, and they have been a great help. I am enclosing a small offering towards your tape ministry and maybe someone else can benefit from it just like I have. Thanks very much once again. It sure is good to be able to read and hear the truth. Keep up the excellent work with the shortwave radio broadcast and the Midnight Cry Messenger Newspaper. All the best.
