Editor's LetterBeloved in Christ, This leaves me with a desire to help God’s people prepare for the things coming on the earth as we await Christ’s return. I am sure some of you have this same desire. The course of this age is "evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived." We are totally dependent on the goodness and faithfulness of God to help us through these troubled times. Walking by faith sometimes means you have nothing to go by but your faith and hope in God. Hebrews 11:6 says, "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." The absence of faith is a terrible condition to be in. It leaves the person totally destitute and opens him up to all kinds of fears and frustrations. This is the most terrible void a person can experience. Men and women who commit suicide think they have nothing to live for. This usually happens after some traumatic experience, such as a death or a loss of a loved one, but of course it could be anything. For example, when the stock market crashed in 1929, many former millionaires committed suicide. Obviously money was their God. Exodus 20:3 says, "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." Anything that monopolizes your life is your God. I will close for this time praying that God will help us be ready for the coming of His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. Your Unworthy Servant, Letters"I listened to your program via Sky Angel 1 and it is indeed a ministry. It has been a long time since I heard a song service like it and I don't think I ever enjoyed one more. Enclosed is a check for you to use in any way that will further your ministry. I would like a tape of your program to let my pastor and his family enjoy. If you continue ministering in like manner I would like to order more tapes as you make them to send to friends." "Received the booklet as requested. Absolutely great! You 'people' strike me as genuine as the televised shots of your congregation's faces. "May your ministry reach more souls who just don't have what you espouse on the telecast as well as in this booklet." "Your radio program on 15:00 AM at 6:15 here in Michigan is a real blessing from God to me and I'm sure many others. God has blessed Brother Thomas with the truth and I would like to send this gift to help again the great expense you must obtain. I have a few of your tapes and enjoy seeing as well as hearing." "I enjoy listening to Pastor Thomas on my way home from work everyday. I like his style of preaching, telling it like it is and just being himself." "I would like to request to be on your mailing for the Midnight Cry Messenger. I listen to your program on the way to work on AM 1090 and intend to continue listening. You have been a blessing. I am enclosing a love offering of ten dollars. "I appreciate your ministry and pray it continues to grow." "Praise the Lord! As far as I can remember I've never viewed your program but indeed it was a blessing to me this morning. Even more beautiful than the music was your heartfelt praise to our Lord Jesus Christ ... Will be praying for you all for this is what Jesus wants us to do. And lastly I would like to receive your free magazine, The Midnight Cry Messenger if possible. May God bless you all, and thank you for your help." "Just wanted to say 'Hello,' and to tell you that I am praying for you, that God will continue to richly bless your ministry on Midnight Cry, and that you continue to 'Be busy about our Father's business,' and 'bear much fruit' and so glorify Him. "(I see) your program over our Dish Network, Angel 1. Has been such a blessing to me as you radiate the warmth and power of God's Word, in simple, child-like faith, in music, fellowship and lifting up Christ, with Him getting 'Star Billing,' as God's Word is proclaimed, in gentleness and meekness, letting the power of the Holy Ghost do His mighty work in building the Kingdom of God. "Sometimes, I get turned off by some religious programs when I get the feeling that there's more 'Show-Biz,' than the Lord's 'Biz,' that they get caught up in an emotional high rather than 'the joy of the Lord,' with who hollers the loudest, or jumps the highest will prove how Holy they are; I'm not judging or condemning any; I hope and pray all is done in truth and sincerity, 'Doing all as unto the Lord,' to His honor and glory."
